I have been learning to spin on my Ashford traditional as well as my antique wheel made in California in the late 1800's. The wheel is a double flax wheel which spins a very fine yarn.
The yarn is wool, angora and other fibers spun on the Ashford. The white merine was spun on the antique wheel with both yarns plied on a drop spindle. It has a wee bit of sparkle and is very soft. Now I have to figure out what to knit.

What pretty yarn! You are doing a great job spinning!
I love the antique wheel and the yarn you've spun looks awesome!! I just got a new (used but new for me) Ashford Traditional Wheel for Christmas. It arrived on Tuesday and I have cleaned it tightened screws and I have tons of fiber to spin. I just have to remeber how to start the bobbin lol. I also spin via drop spindle and just love it. Best of luck to you my friend!
