Happy dance time. The yarn I won just came yesterday. It is so lovely and feels so good. I'm finally getting the feel for knitting socks. I have found knitting with two circulars and the magic loop method, works best for me. I use the two circulars for the majority of the sock and switch to one circular when doing the toe decreases. It may not be the way others do it, but it works for me:-)

Woo Hoo! I finished my first handknit sock. I switched from the magic loop method to the 2 circular needle method and it went much easier. Then I finished the toe with the magic loop method. This is now fun instead of a frustrating experience. Happy dancing...

Here is a picture of my niece, Cynthia and my sister,Sue; her mother. Cynthia is doing very well and hopefully just before Thanksgiving they will be born. The other picture is of the two afghans I am finishing for my neices babies. I still have to finish the edging on the pink one. I have suspended knitting to crochet this edging.

I made a notebook of tutorials and patterns gleaned from the internet on sock knitting. I have the magic loop method and using two circulars, as well as double points.

I found some great links.
my favorite is www.knittinghelp.com

Today's scripture:

Mine eyes are ever toard the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

I am learning how to make a sock using the magic loop method. I am using some leftover yarn to practice. I still can't seem to get the ribbing done right. I have done it flat just fine, but doing it in the round is throwing me off. I tried using double pointed needles. It made me crazy ( though I didn't have far to go:-) All those needles dangling in the way is not for me. The magic loop method makes more sense to me. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

I have been making baby afghans for my niece's twins. I am going to make a poncho for my sister on my Studio LK150. The afghans were done on the Passap DM80 knitting loom.

I also have some yummy mystery fiber to spin. So many projects....which one to start first?

El hace mis pies como de ciervas, y me afirma en mis alturas. Psa. 18:33
He makes my feet like those of the deer, and strengthens me in my heights.

Here it is another week gone by and I forgot about the blog completely. Tuesday I took all the needles and pushers out of my Passap DM80 knitting machine. That became an all day project. I have it all back together and it is working much better. I am working on baby afghans for my niece's twins which are now due the end of November. She is going to have a C-section and has gestational diabeties. Please pray for her.
Here is a picture taken at the Knitting machine seminar last weekend. The doily, pillow and purse were designed and knit by me.
